3D model compositions

The Creative Drawing & 3D Design journey is unfortunately coming to an end.  It has been an amazing session and I couldn't be prouder of all the students.  They showed consistent dedication, they worked systematically and they were always eager to learn new techniques and explore new creative possibilities.  For their final task they had to create a synthesis of their 3D models and complete an observational drawing.  These volumetric studies summarized the students' final outcomes.  Have a look at the impressive compositions!

All of the above are key words when referring to paper modeling.  Students were introduced to a number of paper folding techniques during an intensive workshop.  They learned to manipulate paper and completely alter its form using a variety of methods.  The results were impressive, take a look at what the 3D design team achieved!

The Creative Drawing & 3D Design students started experimenting with plaster today!  After a workshop on mold making, where the students explored a number of forms inspired by their projects, they learned how to mix, cast and pour plaster.   Having studied the material’s properties and learning about its versatile nature they were able to produce inspirational results!
